Self-Coach Sunday 59: Find Your Path In Life

Knowing what you want to do in life can be the key to happiness. Those with a plan, vision, purpose or goal will naturally attract people who are interested in going in the same direction.

Ask yourself these questions:

  1. What is my purpose in life?
  2. What am I hear to accomplish or learn?
  3. What’s in my soul and heart to do?

Then, write down the answers in the form of a statement.  Ex. my purpose is to learn and love as fully as possible. Or, my purpose is to be a happy traveler. Your purpose does not have to be earth-shattering in scope. Be honest, real and simple.

Self-Coach Sunday 53: Align Your Values And Vision

If you want your work to be fulfilling, do something that is in line with your values. Not values in the moral sense, but rather in a sense of doing what you love and believe in.

Ask yourself:

  1. When do I feel most fully alive?
  2. What are you doing at those times?
  3. Are you planning and designing?
  4. Are you coaching and energizing others?

We are at our best when we are fully living our unique values. Take a few minutes to list the peak moments in your life. Next to each, write dow the value it reflects. This will help you identify your core values.
